Check out here for further info on limited editions.

I think 1000 Sky and Rose models were sold in 1989, with a blue and pink roof respectively. Only know because I nearly bought a Sky, others will be able to shed more light or correct me if I'm wrong!

I don't know what they are worth really, the one I was looking at was £750 in original condition - that was in good nick with 12 months MOT. I suppose limited editions can only go up in value if you keep them to original spec.

rust free ones are !

I think the Rose and the Sky were reputeable produced to promote the unleaded 998 engines and being environmentally friendly..

Being Bioderadeable was an added bonus :)

Thinking along thel ines of Guess here..arent they touted to be the most rust-attracting minis ever built?

I dont want it - it needs to much work, i was more wondering if it was worth his time and effort to actually restore it to its former glory.

Ive got a mini lined up for myself which i will hopefully be picking up at the end of this month.

Thanks though

I would not restore one for any financial gain... as you'll never ever get your money back...

but they are not too common for the above reasons.

Why do the rust so bad? Was it a secret ploy to make you buy more minis.. because your old ones just fell apart along the road...

I think it was just a bad time in the Mini's history...too many strikes and poor workmanship...
If you really want a Sky or a Rose then buy a Mayfair and get it painted!
