arms are all the same (except early mk1) - you've probably got a bent one somewhere...

its not the steering arms - they are all exactly the same except the mk1s (which also had a different rack).
- the cooper s arms were beefier - but still maintain the same angles.

new rubbers and all that being new *will* upset the tracking if it was previously setup with knackered rubbers...

well something else is kaput then.. use that 6 years of experience to investigate!!

In answer to your original question though you can certainly rule out the steering arms as they are all the same on disk and drum hubs (as above: assuming they aint bent.)

good luck with it...

Have you fitted Mini or Metro hubs and/or arms?

Metro hubs and/or arms?

good point - metro hubs and stuff really do bugger it up (and not just the tracking)

isnt it because the disc hubs are much wider than the drums? ie they stick out further from the car. if this is the case then surley thats why the tracking is a mile out. the steering rack will still be connected to the arms, but with the wheels further out it will give a huge toe out no?

get extended track rod ends.

Its about 1" wider. The disc cars have a 1" spaced rear drums. I used a 1" spacer on the rear as the fronts were wider. When Mark did mine he had to reset the tracking.
