hi, iv wired up my stereo today, the multichanger and everything else works perfectly, except when the volume goes a bit more than half way, the track stops and you can hear it trying to play but it cant, its hard to explain. u can hear the disc stopping and starting spinning very frequently, but the music wont play until you lower the volume. thanks, benn

Stereo turns off when volume is too loud.

sounds more like a issue with your heead unit/ multichanger rather than a fault with any of your wiring. Is it all brand new? Have you got another car you caan temporarily fix them into? If so pop them into another car and see if the problem still exists

It might be a safety function for the Head unit. Just to make sure that it doesnt cause any damage when the volume is to loud.

either that or you have an ohms problem with your speakers

check your wiring too, if youve got an inadeqaute power feed, or bad earth it can cause all sorts of wierd problems.

How old are ur speakers? Generally new head units will prevent any output that will damage the speakers, so if they have seen better days the head unit will not let u crank up the volume!!
