hi there i have looked through the forum about my problem
but cant seem to find any thing that helps

ok here goes i have a mini thats been sitting for 3 months now
i got into the car started her up and went to put into gear
the pedal was very hard to push down but managed with a struggle
i then put it into first as i took my foot of the clutch pedal the car did not move
i can now put the car in and out of gear with engine running without using the clutch pedal
also the pedal goes up and down easy as if there was no clutch

has the clutch stuck on?????
and why does the pedal now move too easy
would i have damaged the master cylinder????

ps its a verto type clutch cheers

cheers

If the arm moves freely then I'd say stuck clutch. Happend with El Gordo when I 1st got her. Got to warm the car up. So it's to temp them turn the engine off and put the car in gear. Put your foot on the clutch pedal then try to start the car.

What "should" happen is the car jumps forward a bit, clutch unsticks and the engine should go to idel as the clutch is still pressed down with your foot. Goes with a bit of a pop.

Hello Kel, don’t know if you remember but when I saw you last my clutch was sticking a bit and has been getting worse.

I went over to Heathrow on Saturday and the clutch stuck in while in the outside lane of the A4, I kicked it a few times while coasting down the road and it freed up but still keeps sticking intermittently.

Can I pop it over, maybe at the weekend so we can have a look.

Also any joy with the head yet?

This arm is usually the culprit and it should just needs a gentle tap to get it working again.
