Its a 6-wheeler Bedford VAL coach - the original Job coach was lost many a year back now...high estimated price is £5000.

Nothing stopping you finding a coach that LOOKS similar in size and shape, and making a few mods to get it looking authentic.

You would proly have to look in scrap yards, though maybe a few similar types still about in private hire firms (Only 4 years ago I was on a coach from a private hire firm, it was a ~60's era coach, six wheels.........and the definition of "rent-a-wreck" ! ;) ).

I'm sure you could get a coach of a similar type / age and modify the body work fairly cheaply.

Few linkies for ya:

possibly useful VAL contact info / general info:

http://www.bedfordga.../bedfordval.htm

Not an *exact* match, but VERY close - NOT 6 wheel though (but already converted!):

Again, not a VAL, but a passing resemblance - not 6 wheel:

I was working on my Mini in the garage about a year ago and heard Edith Bowman on Radio 1 say that her dad or someone she knows owns the original coach out of the film!

i read in mini mag a while back, there were 2 brothers doing up 3 italian job minis, and htey said they had a chance a while back to buy the original bus, but it was since scrapped...they were going to try to restore a different one but were "kicking htemselves" for not buying the real one. so i think it be gone...
