I'm thinking about converting from the traditional rear subframe to a beam rack. The car is going to be used mainly for road rallying. I know it will lighten up the rear but I need to know a few things first.
Is it a hard conversion to do? It does seem straightforward.
What coilovers should I get to use with the rack? Do all coilovers have ride height adjusment? As I want the ride height higher than standard
Does it make the rear too light?
Where should I buy the beam rack from? I've seen kits with spax rear coilovers for £299 which dson't seem to bad.
Cheers, Kyle.

by beam rack i assume you mean the rear subframe replacements
you can get them from MINISPARES, P&L MINI,, JONSPEED EBAY SHOP and HUDDERSFIELD
or you can cut down the original subframe and add additional bolts through the heelboard.
i am using a cut down original frame but i am yet to drive the car, still building it.
all coilovers will have adjustable ride height
its not hard to do you just bolt whichever frame you buy in place of the original.
hope that helps
