my 4th one is dying again, I indicate at a junction while not moving and the tick slows right down and sometimes looks as if its stopped!! As soon as I rev the engine it ticks...
its a brand new alternator by the way and brand new battery

i think he means he looses power when on idel or on tick over then when he revs the powers back there

is the belt ok? isnt there a little black box that controls the ammount of charge that comes from the alternator? Or am i just making that bit up? sounds like alternator to me, have you tried testing it? (see what current is coming out of it) or maybe earth lead is dodgy somewhere?

Not the alternator thats brand new as is the battery

Check the engine earth and the belt as above. New parts can be faulty you know. Is it a new or recon alternator?

Lucas recon and its totally fine ive checked it and its not having the same symptoms as my faulty 1 which was in previous. Besides the flasher unit screwed up on the old alternator.
