Guys,

I have spoken to a few people about changing the wheels on my 1999 Cooper sport pack. Some say that swapping from a standard 6*13 to the deep dish 7*13 ( ie Ultralites ) with the same tyres will cause lots of rubbing problems ( offset ), some say none at all. Who is right? The car is not lowered as yet but may be dropped 30mm or so in the future.

Also, if the above would give me problems, I have seen some superlites in 6 * 13 and minilight deep dished polished rim 6 * 13. I think this will probably be my best option but would this size go straight on?

Anyone got any pics of the 6 * 13 deep dished wheels on their sport pack to give me an idea please?

Regards
Andy

Ask one of the photoshop people to 'shop it onto your car. Dont forget to post some pics in the digital section though >_<

6 x 13's don't generally have a massive dish unless you had some with a lot of offset, which you don't want as that is part of the reason 7 x 13's aren't too conducive to great handling.

6x13's are fine though with a decent suspension setup....here's my brothers on 6x13's with sportspack arches.

Thanks for the reply guys.

Dan, what make of wheels are those? I just fancy having something different to the normal sport pack wheels and I have been told that some, such as the Australian Superlites, are a lighter wheel than the standard ones too.

They're superlights with anthracite centre's. Pretty much any wheel is lighter than the sportspacks, they weigh an awful lot!
