Hi all,

I have a set of Revolution race split rims (these ones: http://www.minispare...amp;prod_id=188 :) ) but the kit only comes with standard wheel nuts i.e. not locking ones. They're only meant for races as they're really light and quite expensive but I'll be using them on the road and hence I want a locking nut for each wheel. I can't find any shops that sell them. Does anybody have any of these wheels that they use on the road and if so, what do you do about a locking wheel nut?

Cheers, Nick

Unfortunately not - those ones only fit the standard Revo's, the holes in the race wheels are bigger so larger diameter nuts are needed.

Cheers anyway GW

What make/model, or what size? They come fitted with Dunlop SP9000 (I know people say the SPs are a bit rubbish but I'm pretty sure they're refering to the 2000s not the 9000s), and I've got 8x13s on the back and 7x13s on the front (just like you!) so the tyres are (I think) 175 x 45 and 195 x 45 respectively - have to double check when I get home though as I'm not 100% sure...

And what does 'rediculous' mean in this case...? That must be 205 or 215?
Do you find the handling good with 195s on the front?

As they are non standard Revo's then I'd go Back to Huddersfield and ask them to get you some...

Might be worth a try, but I told them the wheels were for road use so I would have assumed that if they had the lock nuts they might have put 2 + 2 together and provided me some.
I'll give them a call anyway, no harm in trying...

Yep, here you go:
(they look a bit silly because I haven't put the arches on yet - got some miglias to attach)

I might start a project page as I have quite a lot to do/add over the next few months...

OK, I've added them as attachments to the post as the 'Insert picture' thing doesn't seem to work here

EDIT: Hmm, I've just realized I should probably have covered my reg plate before I put the pics on here... oh well
