hi just got a mini ,for my boy but today the wipers packed up ??????????
any one give me a little info on what to check
have they packed up completely?
The other day, mine went funny - they won't work on the first flick of the stalk but will work when I flick it again to the top, and when i pull the stalk back down they stop in the place they are and don't return to the bottom... I think this is either the Wiper Motor Park Switch or the terminal which connects to it.
On my car (might be different on yours) as you look in the bonnet it's to the top right hand corner and the park switch is a small grey square thing. Try switching the wipers as if they were on and fiddling with it and see if they work. If they do you'll know it's that that needs replacing.
Of course I might be way off and it could be the actual wiper motor which I imagine is sited very near to the park switch - someone else might be able to add to this to help...
