I'd just like to know what are they like using from day to day? will they tilt forwards for rear access? comfortable?

Ive got corbeau clubmans in the new style, black n red. they look cool and are comfy.

Ive got them on proper tilt and slide frames, but to get in the back you would need to slide the seat forward/tilt it and squeeze in the gap.

Not a problem for me, as i dont use the back.

I've got the slightly newer cobra clubmans. They are nice! They tend to rip slightly on the pressure points o the seats (the bits that are under sress when the seat is sat on) but these aren't overly noticeable. Again they do move forward and tilt to allow access to the back but I dont use the back either so it dont matter. The one thing you have to do is learn to get in and out of them stylishly. :(

since I'm a student I need something affordable, and the back will get quite a bit of use. would you recomend them if I need regular use of the back seats? will they work with regular seat belts?

They do work with regular seat belts, but i find the lap belt doesnt touch you as it cross's over the edges of the seat.

In my experience Cobra seats last 2 years, tops. After that they are faded, sagging and generally disappointing. Search the site and you can find out all about my Cobras.

Iv got some of the newer style cobra clubmans that i use for day to day use. To be honest they are the most comfy seats i have had in a mini and i mist have had at least 6 different types of seats in it. I have sliding and tilt subframes and i use the back seats regularly with them, however i have to slide the seat forward before i tilt it otherwise there is no room for anyone to get in the back, in fact when i do this i think there is more room to get into the back then when i use the newer type of classic mini seats. I also use my seats with the standard seatbelts, however to make the belt touch my lap i put the belt through where the harness would go through, this also stops the side of the seats getting damaged from rubbing.

I could only recommended then.
