Hey,
Well i fitted my stage one kit from mini sport. however the spring didnt seem to be good enough, so was advised by my friend to use the standard spring with the new needle. Also in the instructions it did not say where to get the water for the water cooled manifold, so this hasnt been done yet. Does anyone have a clue where i get it from?

Took her for a quick spin and she is running with a huge flat spot, but if i pull the choke out it smoothes out considerably. does this mean i am rich or weak? i know it needs tuning, am just wanting to know.

I'm no expert but if it's flat, then it's not being fuelled throughout the rev range.

Don't worry about the water heated inlet manifold because unless you're planning on using you're Mini in a very cold country, you may as well just leave it unconnected because it contributes nothing towards the performance.

If pulling the choke out at that point improves it then its obviously weak at that point but it could easily be too rich elsewhere. Unfortunately there is no quick fix other than a rolling road !
