Hi all, thougt id share with you all.

Im just about to repair my Clutch Slave Cylinder on my non-verto mini.

The dust cap on it is rotten all the way through and i think maybe letting in air into my hydrolics.

Got the repair kit from Minispares, very basic kit with two rubber thingamijigs.

Anyway, will post up in a couple of hours with the results.

I'll bet you're later than that. Took me two hours to get the damn piston out of mine.

Well jobs done now, let me tell you it wasn't the easiest job in the world. Couldn't get the hydrolic hose to loosen from the slave cylinder, so did the job with it still connected, inside the engine.

When i got the piston out and the spring and stuff, its was all full of this brown muddy like gunk. Spent ages with clean rags and hydrolic oil to clean it all up, replaced the rubber widget and reasembled.

I can now feel the pressure as soon as i push the clutch pedal and not just at the end of its travel. Only problem is the bite point has moved, its now very high, need to adjust that at some point but for now its a job well done.

Total expense: £21
Circlip Pliers - £8
Dot 4 Oil - £8
Hose Clamp - £5

Next time wont cost as much, actually shouldn't cost anything as i have the tools.

Until the next time happy motoring
