Just had a new regulator fitted on my alternator, thats been tested and its fine. The alternator light flickers on and off, tho seems to be brighter at lower revs or at tickover. Adjusted the belt and is as tight as I can get it, would i need to look at earths? If so, where are the main earths located on the car? Thanks

Take a jump lead and go from the thermostat housing to a good bit of body work. If the light goes out then the earth need sorting.

slacken the belt off to the correct tolerance or it will snap in the middle of the night when its peeing down with rain and you are miles from home
