Last night was the first time that I'd driven my Mini in the dark. I was a little diappointed to find that they dash didn't light up. I've had a fiddle and I've managed to get the centre pod working but the rev counter and speedo still don't light. The right inditcator doesn't light up either although I know its working because I can hear it ticking. Before I take the whole thing out and dismantle the pods has anyone else experienced a similar problem? I'm hoping that it is simply a case of changing a few bulbs and putting it all back in.

Yes, in my case it was C**p connections on the fuses. I also lost my rear lights at the same time too. Now, I'm not saying that's the job here but I'd suggest checking it all the same.

Just make sure all your fuses are in tight and the connectors are nicely clipped in. If it's not that, bearing in mind I'm no 'sparky', next stop's the bulbs and wiring behind the pod I'd guess. A mechanically minded mate of mine suggested the indicator fault I had, which was identical, could be down to a damaged printed circuit on the back of the pod (IIRC), he suggested picking up a new one if it persisted but it hasn't showed up for a while. *Knocks on wood*

If the middle gauge is working but the others aren't then it's not likely to be fuses, try changing the bulbs or just reseating them.
