Surely the grease nipple thing is just a snap on/snap off thing. My grease gun is now stuck on the nipple, and pulling very very hard is not budging it. Is there a special knack to it? I've got to move the car in abit and it's stuck on the front wheel bearing.
Thanks

i think you pull them off on an angle rather than just pull them.

try pushing it left or right and it should pop off............ i think.

yeh pull it off at an angle, i usually just lean the gun to one side of the nipple and it pops off.

sounds like you have got a build up of pressure in the nozzle.

when working correctly, the new grease should push the old grease out past the rubber seal on a ball joint, but if the joint is blocked in some way the grease will built up pressure and the nozzle will stick fast.

jack the car up and try getting someone to waggle the steering side to side as you try to remove it. this should get the joint moving and hopefully ease the pressure.

you really should strip the joint and investigate.

Finally got it off the front hub after a whole lot of pulling and wiggling. Took ages though. Then put it on the handbrake cable grease point(Wolseley 16/60} and had a right job getting it off there too. Mabye just because it's new...
