If you have a look on minispares website you will find everything you need. Or you could do a search on here to find out how its done.

you will need:

2 cones.
and a cone compressor

there u go.

while your there, you should fit hilos if you ever plan on changing the ride height of your mini. they replace the trumpets that the cones sit on.

unless anything is worn, no.

personally if i was gonna do the cones (which i am), i'd do front and back, put hilos on and some uprated dampers and bushes.

but thats me.

that is the FAQ for fitting hilos, but its the same for cones, except you obviously unscrew the compressor tool to get the cone out after the trumpet had come out. apparently, it may be nesesary to remove the top suspension arm to get the cone out though, which apparently is a right bar steward

I did mine a few days ago. I ended up having to replace two top arm rubber seals, both rebound bushes and one bump stop due to them either being completely deformed, or broken. I'd recommend giving the whole area a careful clean up to get rid of all the grease and mud that clogs the area up. This will let you see what parts look dodgy and might be worth changing. Nothing's frightfully expensive round that area, cones are worset probably. Might be worth considering fitting Hi-Lo's while you're doing all this, I did my tie bar bushes with MiniSpares, 'soft on the inside' set.

did you have to remove the top arm to get the doughnut out pooky?

how easy is it to do the bushes/seals on the top arm anyway? im sure mine will need doing.

not a thread hijack, its gonna help the poster as well.... honest

it's worth changing the knuckle joints as well. these are the bits at the opposite end of the trumpet to the rubber cone.
also, if your feeling rich, get some new shock absorbers, your going to have to take them off anyway.

its easy to do the seals and bushes on the top arm as it has to come out to get the cone and trumpet out of the subframe,
it is also worth doing the bump stops and rebound buffers while you are the as the are a right b**ch of a job later.

if your cones have gone you will need to change them anyway.
