Replacing my A series 998 with an A+ 1275 from a Metro. The clutch in the Metro is cable.
From what I read on Minispares.. The transfer is swappable between the two, meaning I can use my non verto type clutch slave cylinder on the A+ verto 1275.
Is this correct? And is it just a simple swap over job or is there something more indepth I need to look at.
Or am I better off buying the Verto type slave cylinder and bracket?
Cheers for anyone who can clear this up for me.

A series and A+

if your current vehicle is a pre-verto (look in the FAQ's for guidance) then you will need to the verto slave hydraulic setup.
The complications come if you are swapping from a inertia starter to a pre-engaged, at which point it may be easier ( if you dont want to be changing electrics ) swapping the flywheels over.

Just use the flywheel/covers and starter from the 998 - it's a far better set-up and won't cost you a penny!

Yeah thats what we've done.
Dad did some jiggery pokery with covers and arms and it should all work now. Going to wack a new clutch plate in tomorrow too just for good measure.
