What speed was you doing?my mini seems on going around corners either way like it wants to start with a big tail slide. and on occasion it has resulted in a proper slide tyres squealing and all. Any body got any clues as to why or am i just going too fast. All tyres are yoko's none are flat the rest is standard, brakes steering suspension wise? I would love to sort this out asap!

I find the toolbox and jack + spares normally adds enough weight
Also, but your best tyres on the back, to stop it skipping out. And make sure they are facing correct way if directional.

All tyres are brand new well 2000 miles of use. It was doing it in the dry driving quick in the wet is a no no. Im not braking on the corner as that is very bad same as lifting off mid corner (used to have a 205 gti and they suffer from rediculous lift off over steer). Been around all brakes, and all are free and working right. Probably think about changing the suspension?probly just because of the recent rain, after having a fair bit of sun, the grease on the road will be considerably worse. To help prevent it, firstly dont drive as fast, dont be slowing down whilst cornering, also check the brakes arn't binding at the front or anything silly like that

I have never felt the back slide in my mini. And i do take roudabouts more than usually hard....
On the otherhand your more likely to get oversteer with narrower tyres. Quite a few of the 12" minis ive been in oversteer a fair amount but usually on cheap tyres.

Tyre wear was well out when i bought the car on the front. Tracking was towing out off the scale something like 4 degrees. The lady was selling as she didnt like the way it drove? lol It doesnt wear unevenly that is showing on the tyres?Might be worth getting your suspension laser checked. Noticed any unusual tyre wear patterns?
Its now got 165/65/12 yokos with 12x6 supalite alloys on so should stick like its on rails or so i thought? Im going to start looking at coilovers or hilo's and adjustable dampers.

Don't just throw parts at it and hope it fixes the problem. You need to find out whats wrong!
Leaking dampers?
Seized radius arm?
Subframe damage?
Knackered cones?
Worn ball joints?
Everything greased correctly?
Bent tie rods?
