My mechanical fuel pump has recently gone bust and needs replacing. Im running a standard 1275 a+, to stage 1, single HIF38, with swiftune sw5 cam. Was going to replace it with a standard mechanical pump, which when i went to buy was out of stock. Ive seen two types of electric pumps in kit form from facet known as 'solid state' and 'interrupter'.

Just wanted to know what the difference between these electric pumps were? Which is best for what i need it for? and do these have any advantages over the standard mechanical pumps?

Any help appreciated

Cheers

Chris

the standard mechanical pump can get hot when in traffic due to it sitting so close to the exhaust manifold. the electic ones dont have this problem since they tend to be mounted in the boot and you dont get the fuel boiling. Not quite sure about the difference between solid state or interruptor but im sure someone on here will know
