The arches and front are held on with motor bike body fastners, could of gone for black ones but i quite like the contrast in colour. What you think? black or any other colour or just stick with silver?

looks nice! similar to my car, where did you get your side windows (sliders)?
I think they are from the minidoor company as the convert the runners to accomodate 2 peices of perspex when the are fitting the alloy door skins.
You cant just buy the kit to fit them to std doors as i enquired with them before i bought the windows for th red mini, but as the doors were already painted i didnt need new ones.
minidoor company
Cheers
Ps is this the car chris was building for a while as he used it at a few shows for demo purposes whilst mid build ?

Hmmm, I'm sure MiniSpares at least used to do a kit to convert the windows to sliders, couldn't find it on their website
It is not a conversion kit. I got the perspex from z-cars and i have used mk1 window runners from mini spares, and fabricated brackets to mount them to the curley f/glass doors. Work ok, look cool but where a bvger to do-not enough room in the top of a f/gless door for 2 pieces of perspex and felty ruber bits, and the doors bend a bit!
There are two black vtechs that zcars have taken to shows, mine, the one with the mk1 rear lights and the other with clear mk3. Mine was taken to the mini showdown as part built car last year. I live near to z-cars and was having them help me out with some bits and bobs so let them take it to show. It is also the one in the dvd getting the cage put in the back. It is handy living this close to zcars but i know they find me a rite pain in the ar*e as im there nearly every week getting more bits.
It passed MOT by the way, no probs! Goes like a nutter on speed! apart from it is leaking oil from the flywheel housing... how it is getting there is anyones guess. Took it back to chris to have a look today. Be right!

So did you do the Lakes run then??
I did, but not in it!! (
Quite a large oil leak,-line of oil behind the car. Think all the other mini owners would have complained after sliding off the road on it.
I will be doing moorland and coastal at the end of june all being well!

Very nice mini. I live the fasteners on the arches and flip front. if you dont mind me asking, where did you get them from?
Thanks. I got them from a local car/bike shop. I think you can also get them from Deemon Tweeks.
