As per the title, should I connect it to the fuse box or the solenoid? The only extras I have on the fuse box hooked up to the permanent live are the usual 'Horn, Beam' etc and a fake L.E.D flasher to mimic and alarm.

Would this be safe to hook up. The fuse for that is 25A.

Also, when you directly connect the amplifier to the battery, it should be fused right?

Cheers

Ken

its always advisable to run anything through the fuse box....
cant remember the rating of fuse to be use though..

and yes when fitting a amp to the battery it must be fused.. the fuse has to go nearer the battery... to prevent shorts and fire. (should the wire get snagged on a hole and short and cause a short)

Cool. Thanks for adivce. I have just purchased my sounds and am in the process of the install. I have one more question though.

As am I running 2 speakers at the front and a sub in the back. When I connect the front 4 speaker wires into the amp it goes into two. One socket in the amp says FRONT LEFT the colour is white, and the other FRONT RIGHT and the colour is red.

I do have a bridging wire for these, bar a few adapters, but when I connect them together,

do I have the left hand speaker wires running into the left amp socket?

or

one of the left and one of the right speaker wires running into its correspoing socket?

I know it sounds confusing but please try and help me out.

Cheers

Ken

right okay ang on.. lemme get my head around this...

you have an amp...

and it has a total of 4 sockets to put wires into it...

front left... +&-
front right... +&-

:) but you say that the amp only has 2 sockets? which would be front and right?

id connect the + feed for each speaker to the front left and connect both the - feed for each speaker to the front right.
and run the sub seperately through a different amp.

Yeah I thought it would be confusing. Ill try to rephrase, my bad.

I have a 4/3/2 chan Amp,

it has 2 Front Sockets and 2 Rear Sockets.

The rear sockets are filled by the pre-out on the H.U so all good.

The problem is the 2 Front Sockets in the amp.

Four wires for the front two speakers come out of the amp.

Do I connect them with either

Both (Two) Grey wires going into one of the sockets in the amp labelled right?

Or One grey and One white going into one of the sockets in the amp.

Or should I just trial and error, hopefully the amp wont go bang.

Cheers
