Right, iv just bought a pair of shiny door escutcheons, can someone explain how i get the door cards of please me so i can fix them on. Its an MPi so i dont know if this is a different procedure to older models.
Me being me, im C**p with anything like this :P

the door cards u need to remove the door handle the window winder the door openerr and the door switchyy think were u lock it

then i belive the door cars pops up or down and should come off

then loosent he door andle off and the Escutcheons slot behind them and tighten the door handle back up i think :S

The door cards just pull off, there are about 8 little plastic clips that just puch in to the door and they hold the door card on, once you have pulled the door card off, there should be some holes that have been covered with a tape, remove the once rearest where the door handle is, once this is removed using a cross-headed screwdriver loosen the screws holding the handle in place then just slip the escutcheon plate in place. :P

all i did, was loosen the screw on the inside of the doorsckin(not behind the door card) that holds the handle on, enough for it to slide into place.

Been fitted for 3 years or so with no problems what-so-ever

I definatley didn't need to take off the door cards when fitting mine though

So how did you fit yours then? oh yea you can undo the screws that hold the lock mechanism in place then get to a screw that way.

For some reason the window on my drivers door wont go all the way to the bottom :thumbsup: i can force it down but it sounds like its rubbing against something (not a v. nice sound!) any ideas??

Sorry not a clue, there is no what that the Escutcheons could make that happen, but i guess you could have knocked something else whilst you was fitting them...

i got mine from mini spares :dozing: just ring up and ask for them... think there about £6.50.
