I put new Hi-lo's on my car and raised the front up because it was sagging pretty badly. A few months later while accelerating from a Stop Light my car made an awful grinding noise like the clutch or tranny didn't fully engage nor would it go in any gear. After taking the clutch apart and the transmission apart we found nothing wrong with either is it possible that the axle slid out of the hub in the CV joint because I raised the suspension up?
Help Me solve my mystery!

Big bad wheel noises normally signify wheel bearings problems.

the bearings are fine the problem is it wouldn't drive I was so sure it had something to do with the clutch or tranny but both appear exactly as normal.

Yes it is possible for a Pot to come off the output splines, but this is most unlikely, and would first have to be fitted without the circlip or a fitted with a failing circlip...

Also really only happens when turning a severe corner, and on the unloaded wheel side

Hmm anything else you guys think this could be? It just all the sudden wouldn't engage the wheels when I put it in gear. My first thought was that something went wrong in the clutch, but after pulling it apart and finding everthing in order I went hardcore took the engine out and inspected the tranny but to my surprise nothing appears out of order there either well I'm baffled- but it's given me an excuse to rebuild my engine :P
