how do i fix a stuck float? i put my hif38 on tonight and petrol is running from the overflow. i need to fix it tonight for work tomorrow so help needed please lol the carb was running ok before i took it off earlier tonight.

Could be the valves stuck or not seating. Best bet either way is to rip it apart and grind the valve in then clean everything.

Remove the float bowl so you can access the float valve. As suggested above, remove the valve from the aluminum parts and clean the valve thoroughly. There are methods to lap the male part of the valve into the seat, but that often isn't necessary and a simple cleaning may suffices.
