When you start a thread and a few people take the time to reply and look into getting an answer for you, it's more polite to reply with at least a 'thankyou'- even if they didn't have the answer you were looking for...... ignoring it might make people reluctant to reply to you in the future!
Also, this actually is the same subject as your last thread about paint, so it would have been better to carry on the original one

In answer to this question though:
Mica is a generic name for a group of complex hydrous potassium-aluminum silicate minerals
Metallic paint obviously has metal particles in it to give the sparkle and pearl is a synthetic mix of different colours and paint types....

Metallic paint has small pieces of aluminium in it, hence metallic.
