Temp gauge not working!!

any idea why, cant find any loose wires behind dash or in the bay.

have you tried replacing the temp sensor

Short the temp gauge wire to the block. If the gauge flys up then your problem lays within the sensor.

Just to add to Big_Adams method... don't forget to ground the sending unit wire while the ignition switch is ON. You won't learn anything if the ignition is turned off.

lol ok i shud ov told you a bit mre, since a SPI to carb convertion , and after that a new engine, im left with 1 brown wire floating around the dizzy area ish. the loom isnt xactly standerd, as ive run a few of my own wires and what not. :)
