Well, as simple a thing as it is, I'm going to celebrate the fact that I've replaced my wiper and indicator switches today and re-wired the alarm back into the flashers all by myself! (Yes I know it's a simple, simple thing but I have bog all knowledge with electrics and so was quite nervous)

Now I just need to figure out why I don't have a 'flash' thing going on from the lights when I flick the stalk up. Bulbs fine, got all the steps on the switch - sides, dip and full beam. All fuses present and correct.

Any ideas appreciated please folks...

i have exactly the same problem however its not top of my fix it list i may be doing it today and i will let you know its got to be the stalk unit and contacts not touching or something if you have done it already let me know and it may save me a bit of time

Hmmm... I'm thinking it's a bad connection on the stalk-plug responsible for the lights seen as the old disconnect/reconnect the plug seems to have solved it. I'll check my fuse connections too as Monty keeps loosing his horn (*ahem* Yes, yes I know... I've opened the can of worms labelled 'Viagra Jokes'...) and that's on the same stalk. Will take a look when I get home and see if some new connectors solves it permanently. Will update with findings ASAP...

Monty has an MOT to pass for me on Wednesday, so I need everything as ship-shape as I can get it.. *Crosses everything and prays*
