Not that the last one is quite finished, hopefully we will get a summer next year so I can finish painting it.
The pictures that follow are my rally project as it stands at the moment

A long time has passed since I took these pictures in january.
Not long after I took the photo's I was reported to the council for having scrap cars on the front garden so i had the local enviroment people sending me letters threatening with eviction.
So I decided that out of site was out of mind, so I got 5 mates round and we carried round to the back garden. We put it in the corner all taupaulined up and behind the bamboo to hide it.
Then the local single brain cells decided to use it as a trampoline to get them over the fence away from the local police as they were breaking into cars on the next street up from us.
So that then left me with a badly dented roof on a car that I was going to use for road rallies, so now the roof is coming off to become a convertible.
I have started work with the angle grinder and picked up some panels at MITP. I have taken pictures and will post them soon.
It will probably take a couple of years or so but we will get there in the end

hey mate if i were you i wouldn't cut the roof off.... fix the one you've got.... i repaired a completely caved in roof on my mini... most people say they don't like filler on roofs because of how it could crack so what i did after hammering and dollying it out the best it would go is i welded in peices of flat bar as braces... now the roof is perfectly straight and more solid than factory best part is the headliner covers it all and you'd never know. also with your car becoming a rally car it will make the roof alot stronger in the always possible event of a rollover.... i have a 73 mini that I'm turning into a tsd historic rally car and I'll be doing the same to that roof.
below is a pic of the roof when i got it.... half already hit out with my fists
