Ok, just bought myself a grease gun, so I can finally grease up my Mini Sidewalk. Got the grease, filled up the gun, put it all back together... now what? I've pumped and pushed and whatnot and nothing's happening, no grease coming out the end. What am I doing wrong? The grease gun didn't really come with detailed instructions, just told me how to fill it up with grease, not actually use it - I'm guessing it's supposed to be so dead simple an idiot should be able to figure it out... not sure what that says about me!! If anyone can tell me how this thing is supposed to work, I'd be very grateful.

You have released the piston back into the gun? & make sure all the connections are done up tight on the gun. when you pump the gun does grease eja****e out

If you have, you may have bunged up nipples, I am sure you know how to deal with them !

Take off the long extension bit. Then pump. Sometimes get an air lock in the pump so it won't do anything.

Thanks everyone, got it working now! Turns out it just took a lot more pumping than I expected to get the grease to the end of the extension! Seems to be taking forever to grease the top nipple on the drivers' side front wheel though, I keep pumping and nothing oozes out the sides, might just be very devoid of grease... taking a break for lunch now and will return in a bit and have another go.

You might want to pop down to Halfords or you're local Motor Factors to buy a flexible end and fit it in place of the metal piece so you can easily reach the top suspension arm grease nipples without having to remove the dampers.

Oh and I've got a similar grease gun and I fit grease tubes into it which is much easier and less messy too.

:)
