USA has a considerable following but prices for parts are somewhere in what we'd call rain cloud level...Aussie is probably second to that espeically with the Moke following and manufacturing that went on there.

From what I've seen S.A. and Jamacia seem to be very mini friendly. I'd say us in the UK seem to be more geared for mini, more clubs, easier to get parts, etc, but thats understandable. I wouldn't say we have the best clubs though, most clubs seem to be all politically driven now, beginning with the most mini of clubs - BMC.

i dont join any club which has a committee

that means they have politics.

never good.

(mainly because i want to be in charge)

but overseas seem to be more "mellow" and more about the fun than us.

Good thread!

I think it'd be fun to drive a Mini in India, surprised there don't seem to be any over there as they all drive like they're in Minis anyway - even the buses. There's a guy in Paksitan who posted on one of the forums.

They still rolling out plastic Minis in Venezuela, Chili or wherever?

Driving in the UK is rapidly losing any enjoyment.

I still love driving, I just feel that im always woried about who is watching. I do not speed, but I still feel worried about doing something wrong.

well, to speak for canada, there are not a ton of minis here...alot less than the US...My city doesn't have a club, but I've heard that all the clubs are very good and enjoyable. People here looove minis, and wave or smile when they see an old one...not new minis mind :). I think our winters are far from mini friendly, being -30 celsius, and lots of snow! but we love minis anyway :P

I found my old Mini was far better then it had any right to be in the snow. I used to be able to get my skis inside and trog round some pretty steep country roads looking for somewhere to play. Passed quite a few mere mortal cars spinning tyres and going nowhere. It would even leave a floor pan shaped furrow through some of the deeper patches :)

That's why i'm seriously considering driving it year round...except in the mucky slushy C**p, because it'd be a blast!

Canada's pretty good with minis, i've yet to see a ringed mini which is good...

people would look at you and not at the porsche in front of you....

oh..and i saw an era turbo at the mini garage the other day. its not running yet though

the bad thing is there are tonnes of bini's i would say.....50+% of them driven by asians

No one else seems to have heard of it!

I see quite many mini's here in Malaysia... would's say its very mini friendly with the bloody 40% taxes on imported automotive spares, and the tendancy of people to bodge everything here though
