hi, ive seen a few minis now that have had bumpers removed, but instead of being 'deseamed' to be all rounded off, theyve had like a really thin casing over the seams on the valances that the bumpers are usually bolted to, giving a really nice 'super thin bumper' look... just wondering if you can actually buy these to fit, or if theyve been custom made? cheers, mike
ALSO while im here... by cutting the front wings as well to accommodate wider wheels, would this look somewhat odd with group 5 euro's, whereby the bottom part of the wing isnt covered by the arches so much? thanks!

tiny 'bumpers?'

With the rear bumper the ones i have seen, that you are talking about just use a seam cover like used my group 2 arches.
This is the sort of stuff i have seen used

To answer this i have just cut my arches to fit 6x12 wheels and i too am using group 5 euro's, they look fine aslong as you only cut away what you have to, don't go too much or you'll end up with either stupidly positioned arches or a hole between the arch and the wing.
This was about halfway through doing it, and you can see the dark mark where the arches will be

When i cut mine away, i re-bent a lip and i must of got lucky as i cut just enough away, where the arch sits nicely on the lip at the perfect position

as Tomf said, it like seam finishers, though there are small "slimline" bumpers that are wee things as well...seen on some Japanese custom minis, and i think some other racers...
