Any of those look alrite for what you want I think. Just dont expect it to last forever if you use it often. Not that you should need to use a machine buffer often if you keep it wax polished...

Just be sure not to use something that spins too fast, like a grinder, this will burn the paint terribly. Plenty of sound advice on here about buffing. Just make sure you keep the panel wet all the time and go steady round the edges, its easy to rub through!

Oh and you need to use the polisher and a soft pad (we use a spongey type pad) with the G3.

Then I would hand polish the car with the wax polish, one rag to put it on, one to take it off.

Good luck!

be VERY VERY careful.

G3 is VERY harsh, and with the wrong pad and info, your going to burn thru.

find some panels (spare bonnets etc) to practise on first.

I use a kestrel one myself cost about £80 thats been brilliant, I've used a few silver line tools and they've all been really good, they state that they they all come with guarantees, so for £40 you cant really fault them.

must admit am looking into them due to the fact the PC is hard work on heavy swirls.

but you do need practice and know how "deep" the paint is, if its been resprayed recently and what you are trying to achive.

always practice rather than burn!

Use a foam pad (farecla are pretty good) Take the edge off it as that's where it'll burn through the most. This is what I'd do (and I do this as a job)

1. Use a single headed mop, preferably with adjustable speed.
2. mopping the car with any compound will leave swirls which will show up in the sun but if you keep it nicely polished and well waxed then these won't really show up.
3. G3 is ok as long as you keep a spray bottle of water to hand and keep the mop speed at 3 (the lower the speed, the less chance of burning through. G10 is a good compound for just giving it a good go over. NEVER mop with just compound as this is what causes bad swirls
4. Mask off all chrome/rubbers/plastics as you mop as the compound won't come out of certain materials.
5. Do it a panel at a time mopping at about speed 3 spraying water now and then and use a rag to take off the compound once you've gone over the panel) keeping away from creases and folds in the panel.
6. Use some M3 Hand Glaze after mopping, work it in well and take it off with a microfibre cloth (sell em in Aldi) or a Lambs wool polishing head (Awesome)
7. Once the glaze is off use a good quality wax such Carnauba based products or even a good paint sealer such as Supagard or Diamondbrite.
8. Use a nice Wash and wax to wash it with from then onwards and wax it 1-2 times a month, at least. Wash it with anything harsh and it'll strip the paint of wax etc etc.

Most of the stuff here is easily available from Thiefbay :P
