Its that time to buy a new oil cooler, and wounded what other people use? Also for a turbo engine, should it be 13 row, or 16 row?

I don't personally run an oil cooler, purely because the oil temps rarely get high enough to warrant the use of one. Even with spirited driving the oil rarely goes over 90 deg. The only time the oil get to any kind of real temperature is on long motorway journeys, where it has chance to heat up.
I'd suggest fitting an oil temp gauge and monitoring the temp to see if you need to fit one. Remember oil being to cold is nearly as bad as oil being to warm.

Phil.

I'm with Phil on this,

IMO its unlikely you'll need a cooler on the road, I'd just forget about it for now and fit a gauge instead. The gauge rarely goes over 75 deg on my road car (1380, st3 head, 276, 1.5's ect) and the highest i've seen is 95 deg.

In fact i though the first gauge was bust, swaped it with another which did the same, so i checked the original in boling water.... worked fine!

think i'll take mine off then, i've got a oil temp gauge mounted so if it does hop over 100 then i'll pop it back on.
