hi all,my throttle cable has seized and i need to replace the inner and the outer cables,can disconnect at carb and pedal end with no problems but bulkhead is proving a problem,is it held in with a clip?or just pushed in?cant see it let alone get to it to see whats going on,is it easier to access from underneath or from above?? any help would be appreciated thanks in advance

As far as i know its just pushed in.
When i did mine, i removed the wire from the outer sleeve. Attached it to pedal and pushed the wire through bulkhead, i slid the outer sleeve over the wire and pushed it firmly down towards the bulkhead. The wire pulled tight so it didnt catch or snag anywhere. I connected the wire to the carb, and made sure the plastic was sleeve was firm againist bulkhead and the other end, againist throttle plate thingy.
Checked operation of pedal and voila...

thanks jordie like the lateral thinking there,hope it works have already given the outer on mine a good tug(stop smirking at the back)and it hasnt budged,possibly corroded in might be able to drift it out from the inside i spose if thats the case.

There's a rubber grommet on the hole in the bulkhead, where the cable goes through. That could be making the removal of the cable a bit difficult. I changed one recently and it was quite an easy job.

Sorry mate but there isn't, Mini throttle cables pass through a small steel tube in the bulkhead which also serves to locate the cable outer by it's brass ferrule. The ferrule needs to be a tight fit in the tube to keep the cable outer properly controlled which is what makes the cable hard to remove and refit. You just need to use a little force.
