Who was knocking out the poly carb ignition sheilds? They looked like they may have been lasered.

I know where there's a small cutter but not sure I can get my hands on it at the mo.

CNC cutters and Laser cutters cannot cut from patterns - they will need an electronic drawing in DWG, DXF or EPS format.

in your area try the following :

www.stanleyplastics.co.uk - pretty good
www.cnc-it.co.uk - very good

upload me a sketch of what you want and I'll draw it up in autocad for you.

My dad does tshirt printing, he's got some signwriting program thats linked to a plotter to cut the designs out of vinyl. You just trace the logo that you want, hit go and this little knife thing does its thing then all you have to do is take the vinyl off that you don't want. In much the same way, i could put any vinyl (sticky vehicle vinyl for example) through this and get it cut, so door numbers or anything are easy. The point i'm trying to get at is that i have the tracing program that works in .eps format, which means you could take the file to a laser cutters. I've never used it for precise measurements and stuff but i'm sure it can't be too hard. You can also do .eps format stuff in adobe illustrator. I could give tracing it a go, you'd just have to find the laser cutters then?! Schneill

Yello, sooooo, what is it you need then?

I have access to a CNC cutter, but I don't know how neat it will cut polycarb. It should be OK, but I'd have to test it.

You got any sketches or owt?
