Why not the parcel shelf?

Because they are easily seen?

I got my 6x9's in the shelf, and just running them, it sounded great. If your speakers are pretty bassy, they use the boot as a enclosure kinda thing and sounds great. Due to the rear window, the sound is projected up and forwards.....where your ears are.

You could fit them under the rear seats, or in the rear pockets but people say this isnt as good unless you fit other speakers. in the dash for example.

normally the best place to mount 6x9's in a mini is in the parcel shelf, as the rear window reflects the sound forwards, if you removed the rear seats however im sure u could find an even better place

Get 2 on the parcel shelf and 2 under the rear seats :ohno: . That way the boot and under the rear seats prove a little enclosure fo rthe speakers.

i got a 10inch JBL sub in the boot with a little alpine amp. In the doors ive got some cheapo 4 inch speakers ran off the headunit.

and ive got some 6x9's under the rear seat purely just to add volume. they sound ******* but i got em for free..... Seriously though, my whole system except for my HU has cost less than £100. keep your eye open on ebay and get bits when they come up cheap. Only buy recognised brands though!
