The car made 107bhp at baldwins dyno 2 months ago, at the end of bedding the engine in.

for people that want to know, it keeps up with a fiesta st till about 65 - 70

I spent 15 months doing the car with my uncle....

been driving it since april 12th - not broken down once...

I removed alot of rust, by either treating the light stuff, or cutting it out and welding in a new piece.

new front inc a panels
new drivers door
new n/s outer sill

Everything was stripped, cleaned and painted, the bulkhead was totally stripped and painted. boots been sprayed. all the sus arms, brackets, everything has been cleaned/wirebrushed then painted.

Top and bottom Balljoints replaced with new ones, as were front and back wheel bearings

So whats it worth ???

Thanks Dave :proud:

That's a bleeding difficult one to value - it's had sooooo much done to it. Looks stunning though - great job! But why sell it after doing it up?!?!

As everyone has probably put previously (and will probably say again), it's worth whatever anyone will pay for it!

Personally, if I had the dosh and wanted it badly, I'd expect to pay no more than £3.5 - 4k (but I am a tight fisted b*******).

Good luck!!!

Thanks :proud:

just added some pics of the interior as i didnt have any :S so just ran outside and taken some!, there REALLY bad pics of it and dont do the interior justice, as it could do with a clean.....and my junk removed!

ok reason for selling

im realizing i enjoyed building the car just as much as i do driving it, and ive done a fair bit of driving over 3 months, so have had some great fun in it....

Im guna have to sell it in april next year to pay for my next car, as i cant handle another year of driving a impractical car!!

So im thinking why not sell it now whilst its still good condition, and has hopefully a good value, rather than use it for another 9 months and decrease its value, when ive already had loads of enjoyment out of it!!!

also im finding only having one passenger a right pain lol

think ive covered most of it, feel free to ask any questions :S

Dave :P

Imo I would say about £2500 - £3000 but it's not a good time of year to be selling a car

I'd say £3.50.... look I'll give you a fiver :proud:

but seriously, with any modified mini, the value can only be determined by the buyer or rather what they are prepared to pay....

Personally, If it were mine, I'd be dissapointed to get less than 2k, so aim for 3 and see what knibbles you get...

Well, I'd go on a standard 998 being worth not much more than £1000-1500, add maybe £500-1000 on that for a standard 1275. Considering you can get fire breathing 1380s in very good condition for £4-5k I'd say about £3k is about right for a slightly modified (engine wise) 1275.

Sorry, i really dont want to argue, its your opinion, but how is 100bhp slightly modified? :S 1330 - 1380 wont gain you much at all.

i think what he means in jammy terms is its not supercharged 16v kad etc :proud:

but no seriously i would not pay any less than 3k for that, but only if it is as described, which seems a very honest description

good luck with the sale

Don't mean to argue either, but when I say really modified I mean SC gears all round, X-pin diff, Steel flywheel and backplates, fully worked head, Omega pistons and some nice rods, and a fully worked crank.

And I believe that would be 107bhp at the wheels, and its common knowledge that Baldwins RR is 'optomistic'.

yeah really modified would be that, but imo slightly modified would be stage 1 kit etc. i just think its a bit above slgihtly modified, however im under no stretch of the imagination. that its a monster!

i no this will sound like im making it up, but im doing it all from memory, and yes it has a cross pin diff, one from minispares.

thank lewis, i was thinking 3.5, with more being fantastic, and less being acceptable, but id take it as a serious kick in the teeth to get less than 3 grand for it, im sure people that have seen the car will agree...

Dyno - Yeah, he reckoned 107 was at the wheels, which would be ridiculous, i gathered from some sources, that its actually worked out at about 100 at the fly, so 80 at the wheels for a ballpark figure.

i mearly stated what he told me, and people can take what they want from that!

He was however, very impressed at the engine with how much power it made, to what mods it has had. and said it was very smooth.

I have 1,000,000 brake horse power, a blonde gf, 15 cars, a manor house, a swimming pool i can drink more than any other person because im such a bloke, blah blah blah

BAH, pub speak *******.

if your on about the engine is seems well modified to me! A 16V or bike engines r different things. For an A series 1330 100bhp is a very nice all round engine. Reliable, doesnt hav to scream, torquey.

Looks like a mint car, ask £3,000 and expect 2.6-2.8

IMO, if you're worried about getting the value for the car, rip the front end off, replace with a std 998 and running gear. You should get 2k easy for it then and sell the engine, brakes etc separately...

With a 998 in your potential marked has probably doubled.
