Oh haha!! I'm so rarely on here nowadays that I don't even check if anyone's been posting in here! Sorry B-Shaw! *makes some ratchety noises to make up for it*
I have updates galore!
An update to my last post:
It was the master brake cylinder, Neil and Del replaced it with a new one, so there's one shiney part in Freddie's engine bay now!

That was done a while ago.
Poor thing's been a bit neglected this year, I just haven't had the motivation to keep him clean, drive him a lot or really do much at all to him. With us planning on buying a house and also the wedding in the next year or so, doing up Freddie has been put back another year now (again!).
After I've saved up for the other two things, I'm going to then save all my pennies up hard and hopefully will then have millions of updates about doing him up

Get rid of all of that nasty rust

as well as colour change
Anyway, updates for now. He's been running ok, normal winter mini behaviour really, though he's been quite good to tell the truth. Start's up first time after a little bit of hesitation, once warmed up he's purring.
Freddie's MOT is due on the 24th, so I thought it was probably best to book him in early in case he didn't pass, had a feeling he was going to fail this year
On Sunday just gone, I drove to Lakeside and got stuck in traffic on the A13

whilst in that traffic his clutch started to play up, it was going all the way down with absolutely no resistance at all (which is not the norm) and the biting point was really low, I barely had to lift my foot from the floor at all. That and for some reason putting him in to any gear was really hard
Also, his headlights were playing up, I had side lights and full beam but not dipped lights, so driving in the dark was fun! His front left indicator was also playing up, it's been an ongoing thing since I got him back in 2007. They'll just go every now and then and then right themselves, just a loose but it's annoying when it happens!
Anywho, I booked him in with Kel (Kel's Minis) to have a look over before the MOT, which was at 11 this morning
I got a call from Kel at midday today:
Me: He's failed hasn't he! (slight wailing!)
Kel: Well, do you want the good or bad news...?
Me: Umm...eee...err...

umm...umm...the bad?
Kel: Ok, well............there is no bad news!
Me: WHAT!?!
Hehe

took a little while for me to digest that Freddie had passed with no issues, but I'm soooooooo proud of him

Good Freddie *mentally pats Freddie*
Kel sorted out the headlights, some of the wiring had come loose and he checked the clutch, apparently there was nothing wrong with it

crazy Freddie...
So a big thank you to Kel for looking him over, sorting his headlight wiring out and taking him to the MOT
We're hopefully buying a house soon, with garage space for both Freddie and the pick-up so Freddie can get looked after a bit better then
