Decided to not mot Freddie for now, going to let him hibernate for the winter in the garage due to needing to free up a bit of monies for now, but he will be back and all thoughts of selling him have been banished :- for now... :P

Going to give him a good greasing up so he won't wake up all creaky and stiff from his winter sleep next year, although we'll probably give him a short run up the road every month or so just to keep him limber

Well...Freddie's hibernation didn't last very long at all :xmas: Finally tucked him up in the garage a couple of weekends ago and the SPI went and broke down last week, so out came Freddie and he had his mot today, passed >_< Though he's got two near bald tyrs :o and needs a new headlamp bowl but other than that, pretty good for a 16 year old :D

Like I said, he's out and about now, just got to get his bloody tax disc, ordered it over two months ago and it hasn't shown up yet even though I've called them many a time, got to go and pick one up instead :xmas:

Only just saw your comment on here daemonchild...tad confused by it :ermm:

I haven't been updating much, mostly as there's not really been anything to say!! After the mot, Freddie had new tyres all round :P

Silly mini had been running pretty rubbish, not idling well, cutting out, needing the choke out for ages and just not performing well :( and we got an a8 back in January so Freddie hasn't really been driven all that much since Christmas time when he took us to the coast and back!

But as we're using him for Riv Run, I thought it best to get him running as best as he could so to Kel's he went for a good service :withstupid: Picked him up last night after Kel had given him some pampering and he's running gorgeously now  He's idling really nicely and a lot lower than he ever had before, drives so smoothly and he just sounds so much better than before

His windows are finally back on the runners now as well, which means I can open my windows without worrying that they're going to fall down and scare the living daylights out of me! :) And they're easy to open and close again :ermm:

Dan also gave some of his chrome bits a bit of a polish and removed most of the surface rust so Freddie's looking a bit shinier now :)

I'm back in love with mini driving again now that Freddie's running well again! ^_^ Bring on the shows! I've also been trawling the minispares website to find all the bits and bobs for Freddie that I want :) Know of a guy who does pretty cheap paint jos (cost wise, not finish wish!) so thinking this year Freddie's rusty bits can be sorted out and he can get his new look for next year's shows :ermm: Will have to see how monies go though...

Thought I'd wash Freddie and polish him too (even though his paintwork is even worse now and the rust bubbling through has gotten a lot worse :w00t: ) but he looked all clean and shiney

Went for a meet with E.L.M.O and a little run, but soon noticed that Freddie was leaking  turned out to be water, so he has a leaky rad now  stupid mini, that's the thanks I get for pampering him!!! ARGH! His passenger window has come off it's runner again... :) bah, got to get him sorted for Riv Run this saturday...

 hmm...been a while since I've updated

Not a huge lot to report, poor Freddie hasn't had much loving lately ;) Monies are going elsewhere, I was trying to drive him at least once a week to keep him happy, plus he's just easier to find a parking space for than the audi!

Buuuuuuut......stoopid mini decided that he didn't want to start one day in Nov  half a tank of fuel, had worked fine the last time I'd used him, which had been about 4-5 days before but then he wasn't turning over :dozing:

Started to get out to get Neil, then tried once more and he started :w00t:

A week later I went to use him again...was very hesitant to start again :P

The week after, he wouldn't start at all. Just keep getting clicking noises :D

Then his MOT ran out a couple of days before Christmas and what with the holidays and going skiing a couple of weeks ago, we haven't had the time to have a good poke around to see why on earth he's playing up.

He's had a new, more powerful alternator, new pug diesel battery and earth strap in the past year and a half :ermm: he's got fuel  stoopid minis ^_^

We'll definitely get him up and running in time for Riv Run but we'll have to see when we get the time to do it...

WOOHOO!! :w00t:

After almost 4 months of not running and sitting outside in the rain (sorry Freddie :( ) he went in for his MOT today and passed with compliments from the MOT man! :w00t:

That's my boy  he hasn't failed an MOT yet with me  *touches wood just in case* ^_^

I was going to put him in for a full service, but as he's supposedly running great we'll just do a little service at home before Riv Run and plenty of driving him before then too :)

Hoping to have enough monies saved up for after this show season so I can get Freddie done up finally! Though if I do everything I want to and get all the little bits and pieces that I want, I might end up needing to spend more than I'd have, so it might be after next show season :)

Oh well, the plans are starting to be put in place anyway, we'll get rid of all the rusty bits, possile flip front, possible engine change, respray in a totally different colour, new arches, wheels, interior, the lot!

Thank you for taking him to the MOT man hunny :)

Mebbes, though it may not be an entire engine change, maybe just mods. Haven't made my mind up on that one still!!

Good Freddie :) I want to go and play with him now, but stuck at stoopid work
