Hey, I have a recurring problem.
When my battery gets flat, and I try jump starting it, even though the engine is turning comfortably, it doesnt seem to 'catch' and start the motor.
This has happened before, and we had to tow it to get it starting again.
The first time it happened, there seemed to be fuel in the carb, which was getting burned off. But this time, there doesnt seem to be kind of flooding or anything.
It is a electric ignition metro engine, and if I use it most days is reliable, but when I repaired my clucth (bleeding and adjustment) i had to start the mini too many times, which obviously drew too much current, killed the battery, left it garaged for a couple of days, and now it wont start.
Pissing me off, as this is the second time, and I dont want it to be a recurring problem.
Cheers for the help
Ken

Could be your starter motor, if you can bump start it then it probably is the starter motor and its failing to engage.

Cheers, ill check it out. Just another factor. The past owner was using it everyday, so he had no problems with it, but as I can only use it a couple times a week, would this be a bit more of a problem. Its also winter currently in NZ, even though she is garaged when not in use.
Thanks
