Right i want my mini a nice bright solid deep orange colour....anyone got any ideas?

have a look at my project page,... that's very orange, Nearest match i could get to it was actually Ford Carnival Red.. :shifty:

i was looking for something really orange.... deep like the focus st but a solid colour, one hat really stands out. dont mind if its not an origional colour

as far as I am aware it is the origonal colour (except the roof) when i had it resprayed they matched it to vermillion although it seems alot brighter than i thought it was going to be :shifty:

Vermilion was an early 80's colour, on lots of Metros. They brought out another red that was almost identical just to confuse you - Cinnibar???

My Mini is 1981 and the log book says Vermillion red :shifty:

I'm doing mine ST orange (ford focus)
Saw 1 today go past work, the sun was on it and it looked sooo nice, i started day dreaming from then on about the mini lmao.

Don't Know how easy/cheap its going to be to get hold of the paint though, i still haven't managed to find the paint code. anyone know what it is?

The code is 6FSE,... and it's called Electric orange.


I can tell you that it's a MASSIVE ball ache if you get stone chips etc and need to get it touched up or a panel repsrayed.

there is a bright ford orange (mk2 escorts) and a VW one from the 70's (mk1 golfs/polo's/bettles) but I can't remeber their names/ codes
