Facet fuel pump

dont a search and still dont understand things. I got a comp pump, solid state facet. Im wiring it in 2moro. and it sayes 3amp fused. What do i have to wire it to? Just a 3amp and an earth?

electric fuel pumps are usually wired into the ignition live, so that they run on position 2. it good practive to use a fuse with the pump, which yours say should be 3amp, and if you can put an inertia switch in for safety. this cut the power to the pump incase of an accident.

you can wire the pump to a toggle siwtch on your dash, you just need to find a decent live to hook it up too.

also just lil tip you might wana think about is putin a switch in and hiding it :ermm: just for when you leave it somewhere and you could turn it off so if someone got in and tried hot wiring it they would get couple 100feet >_<

will do, cheers guys. No1 wired it to the fuse box? seems obvious?...

i used the feed from the unfused side of the fuse box, and put it through its own fuse, via the inertia switch.

mine is wired to the switch usually used for the rear window heater matrix - 3 amp fuse added in-line.

as long as i no it only needs a constant DC current of 12 volts on ignition. Ill b able to work it out. Cheers for the help guys, given me some ideas.
