Hi all

Just wondering if Huddersfield Mini Spares are any good?

The prices seem good and they stock some decent gear.

Cheers

Dan

I went over the other day & picked up some adjustable bottom arms & tierods. They have some very very nice Moni's for sale. As you're in Leeds have a run over rather than paying postage, it'll cost about the same.

I got some H/D tie rods off them and the welds weren't complete on them :) i also ordered a set of Spax shocks of them and they sent Gmax, however Gmax was ok in the end :(

Postage was good, came next day and i didn't pay for next day delivery.

The things to avoid from them are chrome parts and wheels. Friend of mine bought 2 bumpers and practically sliced his fingers off on the edges, wheels have been known to corrode at silly speed. Exhaust mountings are almost prit-sticked together - the kit that came with a twin exit system fell apart within minutes of having the exhaust mounted to it. Will give them their due when it comes to tyres and seats. Can't find cheaper.

but they do some brilliant stuff.. oh and its likely to be a bomb site in there... it never seems clean!

I've had some wheels and tyres off them, great deal and good gear. Chrome arch trim didn't fit at all regardless of me buying arches from them and telling them what i wanted to do with it.

i second the bomb site comment. stuff everywhere!

I live 2 mins up the road from hudds mini spares and bought a few things from them but find they never have stuff for restorations in stock and they said they would order in some panels for me and a friend and would give me a ring when they arrive and i never ever got called so used p+l and they arrived next day . And I went down the other day to get loads of stuff (suspension , brakes , carpets and poly bushes) and they had everything but the prices were different from the net so be careful of that. If you go to the actual shop I always feel as if i'm in the way seem to be more of a mail order company these days.

Good on some stuff not so good on others

:(

I am going to give Huddesfield some credit now even though it was their fault in the first place.

I bought a Dixie Dee musical horn off of them at SMD, it was the last one they had left. When I got home and opened the box the green horn was missing. 1 phone call and I spoke to a nice lady and they sent the green horn to me in the post, no quibbles or questions asked. You can't really fault that customer service. That is the only time I've used them but gives me confidence in using them again.
