My current system is a MD headunit wired up to a 2 channel amp in the boot which is running 2x 6x9's power supply is not a problem neither are the extra leads just looking for the best way to connect it without to much interference or distortion

To minimise audio problems id recommend getting a MD headunit with a CD Changer such as this. Look a lot slicker with just the one HU aswell.

Its a kenwood aswell so you know your buying some quality ICE. Get your HU's sold and get this package while its on special offer  .

i would go for the cd changer route too, but at that price, just buy an alpine one, they walk all over kenwood

Cheers for the input guys but there is nooo way im selling my MD headunit ive had it since i was 17 and its been in every car i have owned, and still going strong  I just wanted to pick up a cheap MP3 player and have it descretly hidden away, ive got so many mp3's and id like to listen to them in the mini. So if someone has got a good way of wiring up the audio output from the MP3 player to my system id really like to know.

the unit you have does it have a audio input or a plug for a multichanger if so just go buy a personal MP3 player and connect it to the aux input.

yeh if you have an aux input on your existing HU, then you can buy a 3.5mm jack to phono lead and wire it in that way, it'l save time and hassle, but if you dont have an aux function on your radio im afraid its not going to work...
