I have a grey mini steering wheel that i would like to be black. Could i spray it black or am i better off just finding a black one ?

Perfectly acceptable to paint a steering wheel, you ned to get the correct stuff though for the application.
If it's a vinyl wheel... then you need vinyl paint, like wise for plastic,.. you need a plastic primer etc..
Do the Prep properly and i see no problem.
