Ok people i have a supposedly worked stage 3 head, it has 29mm and 35.5mm valves, so as its in used condition and im doing an engine rebuild I thought i'd give them a clean....whats the best way to clean used valves? and is there anything I should avoid/be careful of?

I think Bluemini pm'd me about this a month ago but I've accidentally deleted it. But if anyone else wants a go at answering please feel free......

Cheers guys and gals. >_<

Take the valve out, stick them in a drill. Spin the drill and put some FINE! sand paper, emery cloth even grit paper if you want.

I got some emery tape - works very well with the valve in a drill >_<

you should also lap the valves to make sure there seated right!

kit with paste from halfords about 5 quid but paste int so good, does the job tho!
