
Ignition Switch On A Mk1

There should be a brown wire coming in from the hot side of the starter solenoid to the switch (on terminal 3) and one or two white wires leaving the switch (on terminal 2). One white wire should go to the fuse box and I think the other goes to the charge/ignition indicator lamp. The third color you should find on the switch (terminal 1) is a white wire with red tracer for the starter solenoid.

The wipers on a Mk1 are pathetic. That's one of the reasons I don't drive my car in the rain. That's also the reason God created Rain-X.
As for the heater... my car's heater is great. I just can't stand that loud blower motor it uses.

My car is a Mk1 built in '64 and it never had a connection between the wiper motor and the heater blower. That's not to say it wasn't done... but I haven't seen that yet.
The wipers on a Mk1 are pathetic. That's one of the reasons I don't drive my car in the rain. That's also the reason God created Rain-X.
As for the heater... my car's heater is great. I just can't stand that loud blower motor it uses.

It's amazing to see if u have never used it before as its possible to drive in the rain not using your wipers at all!!
I use it on my mini, and my Ford Focus
