Can you buy these for minis? I know they are common on dubs but i've never seen one on a mini.

I think they would look mint, especially on a mint retro jobby

Well google images come up with this Bonnet bra/hood mask They look daft to me can't see why anyone would ever want one on any car!

There aimed at show cars, the idea is that you put them on for driving to and from the shows to protect against stone chips etc then take them off when you get there for the show and shine!

There not there to look good or.... "poop poop"

arrrr i see. But wouldn't that make the full front ones like on the hyuandi above pretty useless, since a show car is likely to have a bodykit/wide arches.

Seen loads of them on the continent.
Never worked out why people were driving around with them on. Flies, apparently. But a lot seem to leave them on permanently?

Actually I think they are originally from Southern California and meant to protect the car from heat and sunlight, insects and stones on the road. There are all kinds of things available in California to protect cars from the sun, dash board carpets and the like. Car Bras fall into this category and they do also make wing mirror gloves and full bonnet covers. They aren't really just for show cars and are intended to stay there all the time but are good for show cars obviously. Personally I think they look ridiculous but each to their own. I don't think anyone has made one for the Mini, Minis don't have much of a leading edge that would suffer this kind of damage as the front is mostly grille.

protecting from driving through sand storms aswell? remember someone at work saying in Iraqu they all have them. and because fuels cheep every one drives round in V8s with them, you can tell the ones which dont have them aswell paints pretty much screwed

I remember someone selling them for minis a few years back. Got a photo some where - will try & find it.
