Im putting in an after market dash and am going to be using toggle switches so need to label them.
race stylee!
So ive been trying to hunt down some label machines but can only find ones which print black writing on either white, yellow or red tape like zis.....
http://www.maplin.co...e...EL&doy=23m8
and i was after one which did white writing on black tape so it would look neater on my dash which is pretty near to being black!
was wondering if anyone knew somewhere that did one?

I know what you mean, the sort of things that you see used to label filing cabinets. Tryed staples or some other office supplies place?

The original ones were done by a anologue Dynolabeler and reel (which i still have)
But you can buy the digital one, and buy different colour tape/cartridge, casio do them.

Yeah staples sell them, im pretty sure they do black tape. I used to work there but I have to say label machines are not my forte lol

If you've got an easy to drill MDF dash or similar you could have a go at making your own dash light/labels. If you got some thin semi transparent plastic of some sort and cut small 15mm circles out of them you could draw on little symbol type labels with CD marker pen. The sort of labels you see on the standard switches
For example you could draw on little symbols like the ones on here:

Then you drill a 10mm hole in the dash and 10mm cut out in the vinyl, then mount the plastic circle between the vinyl covering of the dash and the MDF with superglue. So that say 10mm of the plastic is showing to make a little label under each switch thats flush with the dash.
Then mount an LED behind each label and wire them up to come on with your headlights/sidelights.
So you end up with something like these semi transparent light up buttons except its just a label:

I know i'v gone way off topic there but the labels i can imagine would look mint mounted under toggle switches.
lol just a thought
